Come to Camp Tyler for a day of fun as you target shoot to win your Thanksgiving turkey!

Guns, ammo and targets are provided. You are responsible for bringing the whole family. There will be youth lanes for kids age 7 to 10.  Children aged 12 and under who are shooting on the adult lanes are allowed to use a bench rest. Once a contestant wins a turkey they may advance to the Ham Lanes and show their (obvious) shooting skills to win as many hams as possible.

ALL TURKEYS and HAMS must be picked up at the shoot. Brookshires will not honor any winning certificates brought to their stores. So if you are headed somewhere else after the shoot bring a cooler in which to keep your frozen turkey and/or ham until you get home!

Concessions will be provided by the Kiwanis Club of Gilmer

Nerf Gun Range set up for the young kids - $1.00 for 6 shots - Candy is the prize!

Please note:  When you have won a turkey or a ham you MUST return to the ticket booth to get your winning certificate!!!! The Brookshires truck cannot redeem a yellow shooting ticket.  You must present your BLUE Turkey certificate or WHITE Ham certificate to receive your prize!

Annual Spirit of Christmas Food Drive

Started in 1968, the Tyler-Rose City Kiwanis Club coordinates the local Spirit of Christmas Food Drive, working with Brookshire's Grocery Company to ensure food is picked up from their locations and stored at the K-Barn; working with local schools to pick up food from their food drives and store it at the K-Barn. Also, coordinate with local youth groups and others to help sort and box the food for distribution. Maintain and coordinate the distribution list with Meals on Wheels and other Smith County Agencies.

Gobble Wobble 5K Fun Run

Walk, wobble or run your way to finish this virtual fun race!  Because it's virtual you can participate anywhere!  Just keep track of your distances and don't worry about how long it takes.  You have 30 days to complete this "all for fun" run!  Walk around the block, get on that treadmill, run on your favorite track.  Alone or with others (staying socially distanced, of course) you can make this event a family affair.  Challenge family in other parts of the country or world to register and see who gets the best time or dresses the craziest (all you turkeys out there).  Take pictures of you and family and friends as you participate for charity.
