Rob Smith

Robert Smith is an Erie, PA native who moved to Tyler to serve at UT Tyler as a fraternity and sorority advisor. He is an alum of Edinboro University Circle K and now serves as a Kiwanis and staff advisor for Circle K at UT Tyler. 

Aside from Kiwanis, he is an active member of Tyler Lodge #1233 AF&AM of Texas, he also serves as a leader in his church, Living Acts. He also serves as an area advisor for his college fraternity. You can routinely find him assisting with student events on campus. 

Fun Fact: He has a twin brother who is also a Kiwanian in PA.

Eddie Hanson


As a passionate advocate for community service and personal growth, Eddie brings a diverse background of entrepreneurial and leadership experience to their role on the board of the Tyler Rose City Kiwanis Club. With over 13 years in business and leadership roles, including founding and managing multiple successful ventures, Eddie is driven by a strong commitment to giving back and helping others thrive.


Outside of their professional pursuits, Eddie is dedicated to initiatives that promote kindness, personal development, and well-being. He is actively involved in several community-driven projects, including '55 for Good,' a charitable endeavor where a % of money go towards supporting organizations focused on making a positive impact.

In their spare time, Eddie enjoys spending time in nature, fishing, camping, and gardening, alongside continuously learning about new technologies like AI for small business applications. 


Eddie looks forward to contributing to the growth and success of the Kiwanis club, serving both the members and the wider community with dedication and enthusiasm.

David Lockridge

David Lockridge was born and raised in Tyler, Texas.  He married Heidi W. Lockridge and together, raised two children, Mack and Emilee.  HE graduated from Texas A&M University in 1984 with a degree in Civil Engineering.  He currently works for the family business of L & L Asphalt Corporation in Tyler.  David joined the Tyler-Rose City Kiwanis Club in 1996 and has held positions of Club President, Piney Wood Regional Trustee, Division 34 Lieutenant Governor and Club Secretary, as well as heading up the Spirit of Christmas Food Drive for the last 20+ years.

Lindsey Smith

Lindsey has deep roots in East Texas with a large extended family and has lived everywhere from Arizona to Florida.  She married her husband, Chuck, in 2013 and their son, Brett, was born in 2014.  Nowadays their free time is spent finding new travel destinations, being at Little Leagues games and cheering on the Fightin’ Texas Aggies!

Lindsey has been in commercial real estate since 2008 and is currently a property manager with Burns Commercial Properties.  She holds a bachelor of business administration management from the University of Texas at Tyler and is a Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute.

Gene Bruce

Gene was born in a small farming community in central Kansas. He moved to Tulsa in the early 60’s where he met the love of his life and started a family with her.  Gene was a Military Policeman with the US Army at the end of VietNam, he went on to graduate from Oklahoma State Tech.  After graduating, he was hired by General Electric and got to Texas as fast as he could. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from University of Texas at Tyler.  Gene spent 38 years with GE/Trane/American Standard where he retired as an Electrical Design Engineer in 2016.

He joined Whitehouse Kiwanis Club in May 1982 because they were the sponsor of the Boy Scout Troop that had just been started. Gene served twice as President and once as Distinguished President. When that club dissolved, he moved to Rose City Kiwanis Club which later merged with Tyler Kiwanis Club. Gene served as Distinguished President of this club then Distinguished Lieutenant Governor of Division 34.  He has served several terms as a Board Member and on many club projects.  Gene has also been honored as a Presidential and Diamond Zellar recipient.
